How to evenly distribute columns

Having evenly distributed columns in a table will make the appearance of your table look more professional. Making columns even is an easy process. Here is a step-by-step tutorial. 


Step 1: Insert a table in Word. For this tutorial, I am going to have my columns uneven to show the before and after. 


Step 2: Select the whole table. You can click the icon that is circled to highlight the whole table. 

Step 3: Once the table is selected, right click and a list will pop up. Select Distribute Columns Evenly. 

Final Result: It will make your columns even.

It is located on the bottom right of the paragraph section.  Step 2:  We are going to click Tabs at the bottom left of the dialog box.
