How to remove/add borders on a table

 Step by step on how to remove and add borders to a table in Word:

Step 1: Highlight where you want the borders removed. For this example, I am going to remove all of the borders, so I am going to highlight the whole table. 


Step 2: Make sure you are on the Table Design tab and go to borders.


Step 3: You are going to select from one of the options listed. Since I want to remove all of the borders, I selected No Border. 

Final Result:

Now let's add some borders back to this table

Step 1: Highlight the areas where you want to add borders. For this example, I am going to show adding the outside borders back to the table. 

Step 2: Go to the Table Design Tab and select Borders.

Step 3: Select Outside Borders.

Final Result:
