How to evenly distribute columns

Having evenly distributed columns in a table will make the appearance of your table look more professional. Making columns even is an easy process. Here is a step-by-step tutorial.  Step 1:  Insert a table in Word. For this tutorial, I am going to have my columns uneven to show the before and after.  Step 2: Select the whole table. You can click the icon that is circled to highlight the whole table.  Step 3: Once the table is selected, right click and a list will pop up. Select Distribute Columns Evenly.  Final Result: It will make your columns even. 

Fixing capitalization in Word for reference initials

When you are typing your reference initials, Word will most likely capitalize it, and we don't want that. Word just assumes it's going to be a new sentence, so it automatically capitalizes it. This is a super easy fix!  Step 1: Type your reference initials.  Step 2:  After you type your initials, you are going to press Ctrl + Z on your keyboard.  Final result: Your reference initials are now lowercase. 

How to remove/add borders on a table

 Step by step on how to remove and add borders to a table in Word: Step 1: Highlight where you want the borders removed. For this example, I am going to remove all of the borders, so I am going to highlight the whole table.  Step 2: Make sure you are on the Table Design tab and go to borders. Step 3: You are going to select from one of the options listed. Since I want to remove all of the borders, I selected No Border.  Final Result: Now let's add some borders back to this table Step 1: Highlight the areas where you want to add borders. For this example, I am going to show adding the outside borders back to the table.  Step 2: Go to the Table Design Tab and select Borders. Step 3: Select Outside Borders. Final Result:

How to set a left tab for a modified-block style letter

How to set a left tab: Step 1:  On the home tab we are going to select the Paragraph dialog launcher. It is located on the bottom right of the paragraph section.  Step 2:  We are going to click Tabs at the bottom left of the dialog box. Step 3:  Type 3.25 in the tab stop position.  Step 4:  We are going to select left alignment. Step 5:  Select OK. If you completed all of the steps correctly, it should look like this:
